Even though it seems you can find a shopping center on almost every corner, if you live in Murrieta or Menifee and are familiar with its surrounding area, you know there are few that have exactly what you are looking for. Antelope Square, scheduled to open this month, will fill this void and provide a convenient, upscale destination center.

Antelope Square, once an empty shopping center, will soon undertake a transformation with the goal to become one of the most visited sites in the area. Antelope Square is an 84,000 square foot retail shopping center ideally located on the southeast corner of Scott Road and Antelope Road. Scott Road is currently the main connecting road between the I-215 and I-15 which provides excellent access and exposure to the Antelope Square shopping center with approximately 24,500 cars traveling through per day. On the border of Murrieta and Menifee and adjacent to Heritage Village Shopping Center, Antelope Square is anchored by Walgreen’s, Jack in the Box, and Arco AM/PM. Located just minutes away, Antelope Square is perfectly situated to accommodate the needs of staff and visitors to the new Loma Linda University Medical Center and serve the local community as well as students and faculty at Mount San Jacinto College. Antelope Square is destined to become The Meeting Place in North Murrieta and Southern Menifee. The Center is unique as it conveniently provides quick, access without sacrificing a complete shopping or dining experience.

Antelope Square first broke ground in 2007, at the height of the building boom, however the project was stalled in late 2008 when funds were not readily available to complete the shopping center and forced a delay in tenant occupancy. In 2010, Antelope Square was acquired by Continental East Development (CED), a closely held locally-based and progressive real estate developer. With new ownership comes a new vision and CED is excited for the much anticipated success of the shopping center.

CED recognizes the need in the area for new and exciting restaurants, for social gathering places, and is exploring potential tenants for Antelope Square including:

  • Drive-Through Coffee Shop

  • Bistro and Café with patio seating, soothing landscapes, and the ability to promote local entertainment

  • Specialty Food Stores

  • Designer Clothing Stores

  • An Assortment of Restaurants of all Cuisines

  • An Urgent Care Facility

  • Dental Offices and Local General Practitioner Offices

  1. We dont need any more dental offices or urgent cares in Menifee! How about a Henry's or Health food store!

  2. I agree. We could also use a movie theatre and bowling alley. Then we wouldn't have to go to Temecula and deal with that awful Winchester exit! Then families can enjoy more of what Menifee has to offer.

  3. Isn't this in Murrieta?

  4. At this point I'm just happy the development is going to be occupied....I'm sure feeling will change if the streets are not improved.

  5. Trader Joes, Henry's, Sprouts, or Fresh and Easy please!!!

  6. I agree, no more dentists and urgent cares. And why is that shopping center expanding when 95% of it is empty!! This city is headed in the same direction as a perris or Moreno valley....so sad.

  10. restaurants wise we do need a ihop or a home town buffet or even a 24 hour dennys restauant that way we can eat heather food then fast food.

  11. we already have a ihop, its located on Newport at Murrieta. A 24 hours Denny's would be perfect on Newport since its traveled so much, it would bring in money for the city. Although, I don't know how healthy it is.

  12. I like that shopping area off of Scott, and yes it is Murrieta. Scott Road new mall on the west side doesn't appear to be filling up very fast, they need to keep the windows facing Scott visible to the public driving by so, we can see what kind of businesses are going in there and, then folks will stop and shop. They should have put doors on the Scott side so folks could walk in from that side as well. They need to bring in something that will attract people to stop by, perhaps a Starbucks.
