I am concerned about developers trying to fleece the flock, especially since the fox's maybe already in the coop. It's titled, "General Discussion Outline". It outlines the transition of services to the city. It doesn't give much detail. It pretty much says what I outlined in my article above. What do they expect the new city and new city council to do?

Keep plugging and pushing the county to deliver, not just talk.

eibaird@aol.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181366.post-47534596608936611512008-07-18T07:48:00.000-07:002008-07-18T07:48:00.000-07:00I for one was very disappointed in the meeting the...I for one was very disappointed in the meeting they took an hour thanking people and then had little or no specific information. I wanted a powerpoint or a report of exactly what services they spend in our area and the exact cost of those services down to the penny. The meeting can be summed up with, "We are GOING to help the new city, Aren't we wonderful" with an undertone of "We have no intention of telling you anything useful at this time" The only data I got was that we have 2 officers on shift one and 3 on shift 2 and 3 on shift 3. No mention of how much they cost us or where in the city they serve. Every question about roads or other problems was answered with "We have plans to do something about that, can't say what they are, but we have plans"

After the meeting a bunch of developers came up to me and introduced themselves and handed me their card. I think that was the real reason for the meeting. I could have stayed home and waited for the real information at a later meeting.

It was nice to see the community people there. Don't let them fool you into to thinking that you have "participated" since you attended the meeting. I need you to help me keep the county and the city accountable to the taxpayers not the developers.

As you can see from this post I am a terrible politician. I hate posturing.

Oh, for the poster that said

"Does anyone know if all of Murrieta Road is expanding to four lanes? I see the road construction in front of the housing developments but what about the rest of it?"

Post prop. 13: road improvements get done as development happens. Or at least that's my understanding.

Can we try and at least use first names here I can't tell one Anonymous from another. I'd love to go to the meetings, but I currently can't because I attend college classes on Wednesday nights.

I'd like to know the status of the Scott Rd. Project. There are still several portions of the road that are down to dirt, including the intersection at Scott and Menifee, and no progress has been made in the last few weeks. It seems like a badly managed project and I'm very interested to know what's going on.M@https://www.blogger.com/profile/07826545839928376354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181366.post-62984727113689621142008-07-17T18:01:00.000-07:002008-07-17T18:01:00.000-07:00Disregard my prior comment - the information was o...Disregard my prior comment - the information was on the reverside side of the agenda.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181366.post-49988473359288325522008-07-17T17:59:00.000-07:002008-07-17T17:59:00.000-07:00Steve,The document I’m referring to is something G...Steve,

The document I’m referring to is something Gary Christmas mentioned when he started the agenda item 5 - “General Discussion of Service Transition”.
