MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:

Murrieta Road at Newport Road

Night work on EMWD’s Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project is expected to conclude in the upcoming week. Daytime work will continue for the next several months with intermittent lane closures. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for additional updates on this project.

Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements

Palomar Road is expected to remain open until further notice.

Goetz Road – North of Kabian Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project

Undergrounding work continues for this SCE utility project with intermittent traffic control.

Menifee Road Improvements – North of Matthews Road

Intermittent lane closures and traffic delays continue in the area of Menifee and Matthews Roads.

Peacock Place Community Resurfacing – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project

Resurfacing work in the Peacock Place Community is expected to be completed in the upcoming week.

Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard – Traffic Signal Improvements – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project

Lane closures and detours will be posted as work alternates in areas near the intersection of Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard. Construction is anticipated to continue through July 2022.

Scott Road between Menifee and Briggs Roads – Sumac Ridge Utility Work

Intermittent traffic control will be in place on Scott Road between Menifee and Briggs Roads as the installation of utility connections continues.

Holland Road - SoCal Gas Line Installation

Southern California Gas Company will be installing gas lines on Holland Road over the upcoming weeks. Traffic control will be in place on Holland Road, west of Murrieta Road, during the project work.

(NEW) Potomac and Meadows Resurfacing – Pavement Management Program (PMP) Project


As part of the City’s Pavement Management Program (PMP), streets in neighborhoods north of Potomac Drive and east of Bradley Road, and streets in the neighborhoods east of Bradley Road between La Piedra Road and Holland Road, will soon be resurfaced. In preparation for the work, contracted crews are anticipated to begin crack sealing streets next week.

{NEW) Hanover Lane (South of Holland Road) – Partial Lane Closure

Travel lanes on Hanover Lane, south of Holland Road, will be partially closed to support construction work occurring in the Del Oro South residential development.
