Vivian Stancil recognized as Menifee Citizen of Month

Willie "Vivian" Stancil, an active member of Menifee's senior community, was recognized by the City Council last week as Citizen of the Month.

Stancil has been involved in many activities since moving to Menifee last July. Advised by her doctor some time ago to take up swimming, Stancil has made that one of her favorite activities. Stancil, who is blind, won a medal at the California State Senior Games and is active in Senior Olympics competition throughout the year.

She serves on the Riverside Commission on Disabilities and works with local youth swim programs as well.
