Bell Mountain raises $1,904 for Santa's Workshop

Bell Mountain Middle School students and staff exceeded all expectations when they responded to a challenge by their principal, Dr. Regina Zurbano. They were encouraged to bring in their loose change, and when put together it would be donated to the Menifee Spark of Love/Santa’s Workshop, which presents new, unwrapped toys to local children.

“Whether it jingles or folds, bring your change in so together we can support the Menifee Santa’s Workshop,” the campaign stated.

The coin counter at the bank gave the first indication of the amount when the screen read, “My, you have a lot of coins!” When put together, the coins collected amounted to $594, with an additional $358 in bills, for a grand total of $952.

Dr. Zurbano and assistant principal Timothy Aguilar matched the amount collected, making a total donation of $1,904! The money has been delivered to Debbi Manion (top photo) from the Spark of Love/Santa’s Workshop, with wishes for a joyous holiday season for all.
