One hospitalized after shooting on Encanto Road

Here is the Menifee PD response to our inquiry about a shooting Saturday night near the Motel 6 and Wendy's on Encanto Road:

Patrol responded to the report of a shooting around 9:51 pm in the 27900 block of Encanto. Upon arrival, two males were contacted. One male adult had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper leg. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The other male was the victim’s brother. Detectives and a crime scene investigator responded. Investigators have received conflicting information regarding how the shooting occurred. No arrests have been made but we do not believe there is any danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
