One displaced by fire that damages two-car garage

One displaced person is being assisted by the Red Cross after a fire severely damaged the garage of a two-story home in Menifee this morning, authorities said.

Firefighters responded at 8:28 a.m. to a residence in the 28200 block of Spring Creek Way, according to Cal Fire Riverside. The fire was contained to a two-car garage. Crews from Southern California Gas Company and Southern California Edison responded to secure the utilities.

The crew of first responders included five engines and one truck. No injuries were reported.
