Stater Bros. Charities and the Menifee Rotary Club have partnered to provide new library materials for a school in the Romoland School District.

Materials provided for the Romoland Elementary School included seven puzzles with a puzzle rack, a box set of Harry Potter books, a collection set of 20 Goosebumps books, eight Board Books, Perler Beads, Fuse Beads Pegboards, a Cricut Machine, two plastic storage bins, a giant Jenga Game, a giant Uno Card game, and an iron for the Romoland Elementary School Library.

The Romoland Elementary School Library is considered a Makerspace – a place where students are "turning knowledge into action" each day. Unlike a traditional library, a Makerspace presents readily available materials that can act as a provocation for inquiry, as well as modern technology and items to invent with, in addition to books. Students are provided with opportunities to explore their own interests, learn to use new tools and materials, and develop creative projects that elevate learning. With a Makerspace, students can move beyond consumption to creation.

Stater Bros. Charities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports critical needs in the communities where Stater Bros. employees live and work. Since 2008, Stater Bros. Charities has provided $27 million to countless local organizations and causes that benefit hunger relief, children’s well-being, education, health, help for our nation’s veterans and active service members. Funds are raised throughout the year from generous customers, supplier friends, and caring members of the Stater Bros. Supermarket Family.

The Menifee Rotary Club, through its 501(c)(3) entity, has 20+ members who meet weekly on Thursday noon at Archibald’s. The club completed its major fund-raising endeavor, the Menifee Mayor’s Ball, and it is through this event the club raises money to use for a variety of community activities. These activities include efforts such as this library project, the upcoming Santa’s Workshop, and numerous other service projects in the Menifee community.
