A Menifee man was arrested on multiple drug charges as a result of a Sheriff's Department street racing enforcement traffic stop.

Members of the Sheriff's Department STREET Team and patrol deputies stopped a vehicle for reckless driving actions at the intersection of Bradley Road and Desert Hills Road at 10:30 p.m. on June 20, according to a news release. The driver exhibited signs of alcohol and drug impairment. Illegal narcotics and items indicative of narcotics sales were found.

Isaac Sanchez, 22, was arrested and booked on charges related to possession for sales of a controlled substance, transportation for sales of a controlled substance, and suspicion of driving under the influence. Sanchez is being held at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta with bail set at $30,000, according to jail records.

According to the news release, the Sheriff's Department is taking a zero-tolerance approach to illegal street racing and reckless driving. Anyone with information about illegal street racing, sideshows or planned street takeovers is asked to call Sergeant Dan Ponder at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, 951-955-2600, or at Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch, 951-776-1099.
