Driver flees scene of single-car crash on Bradley Road

The driver of a single-vehicle crash in the Sun City community Tuesday night fled the scene after his car flipped over, authorities said.

The accident occurred about 9:45 p.m. at the corner of Bradley Road and Augusta Drive, according to the Sheriff's Department. The vehicle struck streets signs before flipping over. The driver fled on foot before officers arrived and has not been located.

Cause of the accident is unknown and it remains under investigation.

Sharreece O'Connor told Menifee 24/7 she came outside a residence right after the crash and was passed by a man running away from the scene.

"We asked where he was going and he stated he just came from the bar and didn't want a DUI," said O'Connor about the man, who appeared to be in his 20s or 30s.

No one else was in the vehicle, she said.
