Carnes Christmas House brings holiday cheer to Menifee

One of the greatest holiday traditions in Menifee is the Carnes Christmas House, located at 30035 Calle Pompeii, just south of Newport Road.

Chris and Mary Carnes have been decorating their house inside and out and inviting visitors to tour their home each Christmas season for 25 years. Their decorations include thousands of lights, elaborate sets of Victorian villages, brightly decorated trees, Santa figures and more. Each night from now through Dec. 31, their home is open to visitors from 6-9 p.m.

Beverages and appetizers are served, and all is free of charge. Guests are asked only to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard. The kids can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus outside by the fire, where guests gather to celebrate the holiday season.
