Man arrested for possession, intent to distribute heroin

Sheriff's deputies recovered over three pounds of heroin during the arrest of a man they say was providing the drug to other dealers for sale in Menifee, according to authorities.

Jesus Aleman-Muniz, 47, of Lake Elsinore was arrested on Thursday while officers from the Sheriff's Department Menifee and Perris Special Enforcement Teams were serving a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 18000 block of Tereticornis Avenue in Lake Elsinore. The action was the culmination of a month-long narcotics investigation.

A search of the residence revealed the heroin along with 20 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of cocaine. Aleman-Muniz was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
