A Homeland man was arrested on multiple charges Thursday after a search of his vehicle revealed illegal possession of a firearm and marijuana for sale, authorities said.

Sheriff's deputies responded at 10:10 a.m. to the report of a disturbance in the 25000 block of Avenida Ramada in Homeland, according to a news release. After contacting two individuals in a vehicle at the location, deputies located large quantities of concentrated cannabis, with a street value of about $20,000. A firearm and large amount of cash were also located.

Rodney Topkov, 34, was arrested on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana for sales. He was booked at Southwest Detention Center.
