A new program honoring Menifee pioneers with historical monuments will be the subject of the Menifee Valley Historical Association meeting Saturday.

The first of six historical monuments to be erected this year was dedicated Nov. 3 at the Motte Museum on Highway 74. The other five monuments will be placed soon. Saturday's program will present photos, information and comments about the families to be honored and locations of the monuments.

The public is welcome. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Antelope-Menifee Rural Center, 31850 Haun Road.
