The business competition will run from 3-6 p.m. in rooms 950-951. SOCO Institute, a division of The Soco Group, Inc., will sponsor the event. SOCO is a petroleum marketer headquartered in Carlsbad.

Students will compete to win a $5,000 grant to start their business. The competition is open to any currently enrolled MSJC student and local high school seniors within the MSJC district. Local business and community leaders will be included in the judges' panel.
