Canyon Lake Man Arrested on Suspicion of Shoplifting

A Canyon Lake man was arrested on suspicion of theft on Wednesday in connection with a report of shoplifting in a Lake Elsinore hardware store, authorities said today.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the business in the 18000 block of Collier Avenue at 7:26 p.m. Loss prevention officers at the hardware store said a man had entered the business, hidden tools inside his coat and attempted to leave without paying for them.

Dalton Brown, 25, was booked at the Southwest Detention Center for theft.
