Three Lakeside Students Arrested on Suspicion of Threats

Three juvenile males have been arrested in connection with threats made against Lakeside High School on social media, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The threats made on March 23 indicated the possibility of a shooting on the campus of the Lake Elsinore school. The school was placed on lockdown that day until law enforcement determined the campus was safe.

All three suspects attend Lakeside High School and were booked into juvenile hall, police said. Officers conducted searches of the juveniles' homes Wednesday night, night looking for additional evidence that may be related to the threats. No additional evidence was located, however.

Parents and students are reminded that all threats are considered serious, can result in arrest and convictions, and anonymous threats can still be traced to cell phones and computers.
