Menifee Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Scheduled

The Menifee Police Department will conduct a motorcycle safety enforcement operation throughout the city today, according to a news release.

Extra officers will be on duty patrolling areas frequented by motorcyclists and where motorcycle crashes occur. They will be looking for violations made by drivers and riders that can lead to motorcycle crashes. Enforcement will be made both on those operating regular vehicles and motorcycles who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding, making illegal turns, or any other dangerous violation.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
