Two women were displaced due to a fire that swept through their Menifee home.

On Dec. 28, at 6:52 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a residential fire on the 27600 block of Genevieve Drive. A home that was approximately 1,000-square-feet in size, was found by Riverside County Fire, to be burning.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home's front door and attic insulation. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The incident commander at the scene requested for the American Red Cross to assist the two women who were displaced by the fire, according to the press release.
