Two Men Arrested on Drug Charges Following Search

Deputies of the Menifee Police Department-Special Enforcement Team served a narcotics-related search warrant on a local residence Friday.

At approximately 3 p.m., police served a warrant on a residence located in the 25000 block of Harzburg Road. During a search of the home, deputies located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, coupled with indicia consistent with the sales of methamphetamine.

Also located at the residence were components used in the manufacturing of concentrated cannabis, a firearm, and a stolen motorcycle, according to the police report.

Police arrested Matthew Brass, 25, and Michael Montague, 28, both from Menifee, and booked them into the Southwest Detention Center.

Brass was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession for sales of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics while armed, being under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, maintaining a drug house, and receiving stolen property.

Montague was charged with receiving stolen property, maintaining a drug house, violation of probation, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and child endangerment.
