Menifee residents driving on the 215 Freeway in the late-night hours will face freeway closures next week, due to the freeway widening project.On the night of Dec. 22, beginning at 9 p.m., and ending at 5 a.m. on Dec. 23, Menifee drivers will run into construction along the 215.
Between Scott Road and Nuevo Road, lanes will be closed on the 215 in both directions. No detour is expected as at least one lane will remain open.
The construction will also affect on-ramps and off-ramps. During this period of construction, the northbound 215 off-ramp for Ethanac Road, the northbound and southbound on-ramps and off-ramps for Scott Road, the southbound on-ramps and off-ramps for Newport Avenue, and the southbound Highway 74 east on-ramp and off-ramp will experience full closures. The northbound D Street on ramp in Perris will be closed for a longer term, until January 2015. Motorists will be provided detour information via construction signs.
