Police in Hemet and San Jacinto Arrest 22 Gang Members

The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force arrested 22 people in a roundup of gang members.

Members from the Post-Release Accountability & Corrections Team, San Jacinto Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, Hemet Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, and two additional Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force teams assisted in the operation that took place on Nov. 13.

Officers conducted high visibility saturation patrols in areas frequented by gang members. They also conducted pre-determined probation and parole compliance checks targeting documented gang members according to the police report.

The Hemet / San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force is one of eight teams composing the entire Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of 22 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs
