Boys & Girls Club Has a Packed Schedule for November

The Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley has a packed schedule coming up for the month of November.

Taekwondo lessons begin Nov. 3 and will be held every Monday and Wednesday until Nov. 19. The classes run from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for both boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 13 years old. Fees will be $37.50 and $40 for a uniform fee.

Acoustic guitar lessons also begin on Nov. 3 and will be held every Monday until Nov. 17, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Both boys and girls, in grades one through five, are invited to take the class. Acoustic guitar lessons will also be held for boys and girls, grade six and up on Wednesdays, from Nov. 5 to Nov. 19. Fees are $21.

Beginning Nov. 5, cooking lessons will begin and will be held every Wednesday until Nov. 19, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lessons are open to both boys and girls, ages 6 and up. Kids will learn how to make season favorites such as no-bake pumpkin cheesecake and butternut squash soup. Fees are $36.

Menifee Union District has a Staff Development Day on Nov. 10 and schools will be closed. The Club will be holding Camp Day on this day from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will provide kids with breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner. They will also be able to participate in some amazing programs that day. Fees for this day cost $25.

Thanksgiving Break Camp will be held from Nov. 24 to Nov. 26. They will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will include breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner and provide the kids fun programs. Fees for each day will be $25.

Bricks 4 Kidz Lego Amusement Park Camp will be held from Nov. 24 to Nov. 26. from 9 a.m. to noon, for kids in grades one through five. Campers will build a new ride each day and learn how to make things spin, roll, turn and rock. Then they will take their new found knowledge and design their own thrills and challenges. Motorized models maximize the action and fun.  Each day the camp will include carnival-themed games, group challenges, model-building, and more.

Signups have begun for the Winter 2015 season of t-ball, soccer, and flag football, for ages 4 through 12. T-ball season begins Feb. 7 and runs to Mar. 14. Soccer season begins on Feb. 14 and end Mar. 21. Flag football season begins on Feb. 21 and ends on Mar. 28. Fees are $50 and include a team jersey and trophy.

All Club programs and activities are held at the Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley. Participants must be Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley Club Members. A $20 membership fee will be applied to any non-members signing up for any of the activities. Financial assistance is available for all qualifying families.
