Menifee Motorcycle Safety Operation Results in 27 Citations

A total of 27 citations were written and one driver was arrested Wednesday during a specialized motorcycle safety enforcement operation conducted by the Menifee Police Department.

Officers patrolled areas frequented by motorcyclists and where motorcycle crashes have occurred. Officers looked for violations made by drivers of motor vehicles and riders of motorcycles alike that could lead to motorcycle crashes. A total of 34 traffic enforcement stops were made.

The one driver arrested was cited for driving with a suspended license and released.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
