Hearing for Terry Smith Murder Suspect Delayed Until Aug. 15

A pre-trial hearing for the juvenile accused of murdering 11-year-old Terry Smith Jr. in Menifee was continued once again today.

This time the date was pushed back just eight days. Skylor Atilano, 17, will be back in court at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta on Aug. 15 at 1:30 p.m.

Atilano (right, in a previous court appearance) is accused of murdering his half brother in July of 2013. The boy was reported missing on July 7 and his body was found buried in the family's back yard on July 10. A decision on whether to try Atilano as a juvenile or an adult has not been made.
