Parade, Entertainment Will Highlight June 28 Event in Menifee

Menifee’s annual Independence Day celebration is scheduled for this Saturday, June 28 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at Wheatfield Park, located at Menifee and La Piedra roads. Parking is available along Menifee Road, with limited parking across from the park in the dirt lot along La Piedra Road.

A parade down La Piedra Road kicks off the event at 5 p.m., and the celebration ends with a fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. Live music featuring the Hyjinx Band and Cloud is scheduled throughout the evening, and the Gale Webb’s Extreme Sports and Air show rounds out the entertainment. A free kids’ zone includes a jumper area and there’s a variety of food and crafts for sale.

The event is free. However, attendees are encouraged to bring canned food donations for the Menifee Community Cupboard. The Independence Day event is sponsored by the City of Menifee.
