Zoey's Story: Young Zoey appears to be a Terrier Mix who weighs about 12 pounds. Zoey was found running down the road and no owner claimed her. She is a sweetheart and gets along well with other little dogs, cats, people and seems to love kids. This friendly, active little dog is a great companion and family dog. She's house trained and has been spayed, vaccinated and dewormed and is ready to go to a loving, forever home.

Agency: Rescue and Rehome, Inc., a small private nonprofit no-kill rescue.

Adoption details: Adoption fee is $150, cash only, which is to help reimburse for the expenses of caring for the animal and getting him ready for adoption. An adoption contract is required.

Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only within a 75 mile radius because they deliver the animal to its new home to do a home check. They are looking for adopters who are willing and able to make a lifetime (15+ years) commitment to the care of this pet.

Boomer's Story: Adorable BoomBoom weighs about 7 pounds and has had a vet exam and been neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. He's also microchipped, crate trained and house trained. This cute little guy was rescued when someone witnessed some kids mistreating and abusing him and throwing him down the stairs. His front legs are deformed due to nutritional deficiency while his bones were growing as a puppy. Despite his horrible past, he is very sweet, loving and a great companion and lap dog. BoomBoom is an easy dog; he’s well behaved in the house and gets along with other dogs and cats. He likes to go for short walks.
