Menifee 24/7 Adoptable Pet of the Week: Mordachi

Animal’s Name: Mordachi

Breed: Tabby

Age: 7 years

Color: Gray and light gray stripes with green eyes

Gender: Male, neutered

Mordachi's Story: Mordachi was saved from euthanasia at an area shelter almost a year and a half ago and is still waiting for a home of his own. This handsome guy is tall and lanky and weighs about 12 pounds. He is a cool cat who is friendly, outgoing, curious and active. He's neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia virus and microchipped. Mordachi would prefer a home without other cats or maybe just one cat.

Agency: Rescue and Rehome, a small private nonprofit no-kill rescue.

Adoption details: $40 adoption fee; cash only. Adoption contract required.

Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only within 75-mile radius because they deliver the animal to its new home to do a home check. They are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this cat for the remainder of his lifetime (10+ years). If interested, please phone and leave message at (951) 244-3215 or email at with a little info about you, your family, your other pets, and where you live.

Hours of Operation: Animals are shown by appointment.
