A Canyon Lake man was arrested for driving under the influence early this morning after a single-vehicle collision in the city of Canyon Lake.
At 12:47 a.m., officers from the Canyon Lake Police Department responded to an accident report to find a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the 23000 block of Canyon Lake Drive. Cal Fire also responded to the scene.
According to police, the driver lost control near the intersection of Canyon Lake Drive and Spray Drive, struck a curb, broke through a residential fence, and came to rest in the backyard of a residence. All three occupants of the vehicle escaped the crash without injury.
The identity of the 19-year-old Canyon Lake resident arrested was not released.
