Strong Winds, Fire Danger Exist Throughout the Area

The flag outside the Menifee Union School District offices is whipped by strong winds today and the view looking northbound on Menifee Road is obscured by dust. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution today because of high winds throughout Southern California.

There is also high fire danger throughout the area, according to Cal Fire officials. A fire in the Etiwanda Preserve north of Rancho Cucamonga is being fanned by winds up to 60 mph and has covered more than 200 acres.
