Four Arrested During Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation

Four people were arrested on Friday during a motorcycle DUI/safety enforcement operation in Menifee, police reported today.

Officers patrolled areas frequented by motorcyclists and where motorcycle crashes have occurred. Officers looked for violations made by drivers of motor vehicles and riders of motorcycles that could lead to motorcycle crashes. A total of two riders and three motorists were investigated for DUI.

The action included:

-- 19 citations were written for unsafe driving actions
-- 8 riders were contacted
-- 16 motorists were contacted
-- 2 drivers were arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license
-- 2 arrest warrants were served
