Shooting Victim Dies Following Incident at Pechanga Resort

A man died of gunshot wounds suffered Friday night at the Pechanga Resort Casino, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department Southwest station.

Deputies responded to the resort at 11 p.m., when they found a male in the lobby in need of medical attention. The male was transported to Temecula Valley Hospital, where he died a short time later.

A female associated with the male victim was located in a guest room at the resort, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victims' identities are being withheld pending confirmation of their identities. No suspects are outstanding and all involved parties are known, police said.
