Local Rotarians Present Dictionaries to Menifee Third Graders

In recognition of Rotary International's March theme of literacy, the Rotary Club of Menifee is distributing more than 1,200 dictionaries to third graders in the Romoland and Menifee elementary school districts.

Rotarians are going to each school, meeting the students and telling them about serving others, which is the purpose of Rotary.

"It is so heart-warming to see the students' eyes light up when they hear that they are getting their own dictionary," said Luis Hutchins, who handed out the books at Ridgemoor Elementary School (above).

This community project, as well as many others, are funded through the club's fundraising events, such as the Menifee Mayor's Ball and Menifee Motor Madness car show. The car show will take place at Mt. San Jacinto College's Menifee campus on May 31. It will be free to the public.
