Michael Barney's name was on the winning ticket, but his son Gavin was the one who was really excited Saturday during the Sunbelt League Showcase basketball event at Paloma Valley High School.

Michael (and Gavin) won two $5 gift cards to Giovanni's Restaurant in Menifee in one of the drawings for prizes in the event, which was sponsored by Menifee 24/7. The grand prize winner was Therese Carmichael (below), who won a $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse.
