Suspect in Lake Elsinore Robberies Identified, Arrested

Lake Elsinore police on Monday arrested the suspect they have been seeking in connection with two local robberies.

Tyler Cole, 18, of Lake Elsinore is suspected of robbing a Circle K at 16331 Lakeshore Drive and an AM/PM at 16851 Lakeshore Drive, both on Jan. 13. Police earlier distributed these surveillance photos in an effort to locate the suspect.

According to police, the suspect entered the Circle K convenience store carrying a machete. He approached the counter and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When he paid for the cigarettes and the cashier opened the register, the suspect said he had a gun and demanded all the money in the drawer. After collecting a small amount of cash, the suspect left the business.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department would like to thank everyone who came forward and provided information on these cases.
