One Dead, One Injured in Accident on Bundy Canyon Road

One person died and another suffered major injuries in a three-vehicle collision Friday night in east Menifee.

Menifee Police officers and Cal Fire responded at 10:23 p.m. to the intersection of Bundy Canyon Road and Wright Road. According to Cal Fire, patients were trapped in two vehicles. A 27-year-old male, Dionisio Lucero-Gonzalez of Moreno Valley, died at the scene. A female was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Inland Valley Medical Center with major but non-life-threatening injuries.

The third vehicle sustained only minor damage and no injuries were reported from any of the occupants.
