Menifee 24/7 "Proud of My High School" Contest: Send Us Your Entry for the Chance to Win a $50 VISA Gift Card at the Game!

Readers of Menifee 24/7 and fans of Paloma Valley and Heritage high schools have until Wednesday at 5 p.m. to email us entries for our "I'm Proud of My High School" contest heading into Friday night's "Menifee Bowl" football game between the two schools.

In 200 words or less, tell us why you are proud of your high school -- either Paloma Valley or Heritage. You can write about the football team or your favorite player. You can write about the school's academic reputation. If you're a current student, you could write about the great teachers you've had. If you're the parent of a current or former student, you could write about the positive impact the school has had on your child. It's up to you.

Email your contest entry to menifee247info@gmail.com. Remember to state which school you are writing about -- Paloma Valley or Heritage -- and include your name and phone number. Based on the content of the emails, we will select one winner from each school. The two winners will receive a $50 VISA gift card, which will be presented to them on the field at halftime of Friday night's game. Their winning entries and photo also will be published on our website.

The rules are simple:

-- Your entry must include your name and phone number.
-- You must list which high school you are writing about.
-- The email must be 200 words or less.
-- Only one entry per person.
-- Emails must be received by 5 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 23.
-- You must be present at the game to receive your prize. (Winners will be notified in advance).
