The Small Business Development Center will present its first workshop, called “Open for Business,” on Tuesday, June 18 from 9-11 a.m.

The workshop is only the beginning of many free workshops to come from the new resource center that will be offered to Menifee’s both established and potential small business owners.

Free advice about a variety of topics including marketing and advertising, human resources, new business formation, strategic planning, government contracting certification, and SBA loan assistance, will be available.

The center, an effort of the city’s Business Development Program, offers periodic workshops and seminars on topics, such as “Social Media Strategies to Attract New Customers,” and “Entrepreneur Growth Series: Sales Outside the Box.”

“We are thrilled to offer Menifee’s small business owners access to valuable tools and information, at no cost, through the new Small Business Development Center,” said Economic Development Director Jeff Wyman. “Small businesses are an integral part of our community, and one of our top priorities is to work with them to foster continued growth and success.”

Small business owners who are seeking services should make an appointment at the Menifee Small Business Center by calling 951-781-2345 or visit the website at www.iesmallbusiness.com.

The Small Business Development Center is located in the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce offices at 29683 New Hub Drive, Suite C.

The Small Business Development Center is paid for by the City of Menifee, hosted by the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, and run by the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IESBDC) which is based at Cal State San Bernardino’s Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship.
