Pastors and other religious leaders from Menifee churches will lead community prayers in support of local, regional and national leaders in a special ceremony Thursday, May 2 in recognition of the National Day of Prayer.

The event will begin at noon at the Veterans' Memorial at Wheatfield Park, corner of Menifee Road and La Piedra Road. The public is urged to attend this event, which has been organized by the Menifee Interfaith and Community Service Council.

Prayers will be offered in support of specific persons entrusted with city, state and national government. Following is a complete list of those who will lead prayers and who they will be praying for:
