Eastern Municipal Water District Director Philip E. Paule was selected to his first term as Board President on Jan. 16 in a unanimous vote among his peers.

Paule has served on EMWD’s Board of Directors since 2007 and was reelected in 2011. His term runs through 2015. He has most recently served as Board Vice President.

"I am both honored and humbled to begin my term as Board President," Paule said. "I am proud of the direction our Board has taken the District and I look forward to working closely with my fellow Directors to ensure that the District continues to be recognized as an industry leader."

Paule is the representative for Division 1, which includes the northern portion of Murrieta, the southwest portion of Moreno Valley, the northern portion of Perris and the unincorporated communities of French Valley, Winchester, Domenigoni Valley, Diamond Valley, Homeland, Juniper Flats, Nuevo, Lakeview, Gilman Hot Springs and Green Acres.

Paule serves as Chief of Staff for San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor James Ramos. He lives in French Valley with his wife and two sons. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino.

Paule takes over the role of Board President from Division 2 representative Joseph J. Kuebler, who has served as Board President since 2011.

Director Randy A. Record was selected the Board’s new Vice President. Record represents Division 3, which includes Hemet, San Jacinto, Valle Vista, Little Valley, Cactus Valley, Soboba Hot Springs and Garner Valley.
