Menifee 24/7 Adoptable Pet of the Week: Rufus

Name: Rufus

Breed: Maine Coon

Age: 4 years

Gender: Male, neutered

Rufus's Story: Rufus is a big, fluffy, friendly cat who appears to be a Maine Coon. Rufus weighs 14.5 pounds and his coat is beautiful gray ticked tabby. He was rescued from being left behind when his owner went into a nursing home. Rufus suffered from entropion of the left eyelid, which is a condition he was born with where his eyelid and eyelashes turned inward, causing discomfort and irritation to his eyeball. Thanks to a generous donation, Rufus was able to have the surgery necessary to correct the condition. He is now once again healthy and happy.

Temperament: Handsome Rufus is Mr. Cool, calm and mellow. He is a wonderful cat and very deserving of a good home.

Adoption Agency: Rescue and Rehome, a small private rescue located in the Quail Valley/ Menifee area and serving Southwest Riverside County. Animals are shown by appointment.

Adoption details: $50 adoption fee to help reimburse for the expense of neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and any needed veterinary care. An adoption contract is required. Rescue and Rehome is looking for an owner who is willing and able to make a lifetime commitment to the care of this cat, which is anywhere between 15 and 20 years.
