Menifee 24/7 Adoptable Pet of the Week: Pete

Name: Pete

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Age: 9 years

Gender: Male, neutered

Pete's Story: Pete is one of four cats who came to the rescue because their elderly owner was no longer able to care for them. Pete looks like a handsome Bombay, the quintessential black cat with gold eyes. Pete weighs 12.5 pounds and he's had a recent vet exam. He’s healthy, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.

Temperament: Pete is an absolute love. He's a very mellow and gentle lap cat and likes to play with a feather wand. He's a fine companion who would prefer a quiet home. He's okay with other cats. A cat’s lifespan is usually 15 to 20 years so Pete has many more years of love and companionship to give.

Adoption Agency: Rescue and Rehome, a small private rescue located in the Quail Valley/ Menifee area and serving Southwest Riverside County. Animals are shown by appointment.

Adoption details: $40 adoption fee to help reimburse for the expense of spay, vaccinations, deworming, and any needed veterinary care. An adoption contract is required. Rescue and Rehome is looking for an owner who is willing and able to make a lifetime commitment to the care of this cat, which is anywhere between 15 and 20 years.
