The Sun City Civic Association will host a candidate forum Wednesday night featuring Menifee mayoral candidates and those running for the city council seat representing District 1.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. in Webb Hall on the SCCA campus, located at 26850 Sun City Blvd. The public is invited to hear candidate statements prior to the Nov. 6 election.
Scott Mann is the only mayoral candidate scheduled to appear. Darcy Kuenzi said she has a personal commitment that night but has asked that a prepared statement be read on her behalf. A third mayoral candidate, John F. Smith, dropped out of the race on Monday.
All four District 1 candidates are scheduled to attend: Greg August, Sue Kristjansson, Nick Martin and Carol Sullivan. District 1 includes the northwest portion of Menifee, where the Sun City core is located.
