A memorial service will be held on Monday for lifelong Menifee resident Mike Bouris, who died Wednesday of cancer at the age of 61.

Bouris and his late father, Herk, were pioneer farmers in the area. Mike, a third generation Menifee Valley resident, ran the Bouris Ranch after Herk died in 2004. Although the family's farming business scaled back in recent years, Mike was active in collecting and displaying antique tractors and farm vehicles of all kinds. Many are on display at the Bouris Ranch, where Mike's mother Betty still lives.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake. Guests are welcome to gather afterward at the Bouris Ranch, 33751 Zeiders Road in Menifee, for lunch and stories of Mike's life.

There will also be a viewing Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at Evans-Brown Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Drive in Sun City.

  1. Mike was a great man to who I am honored to have met and had as a small influence in my life. So much of Menifee's history is going to be lost with this guy. Best wishes going out to Betty and the rest of the clan.
