Menifee Dental Group Provides Free Service on 'Smile Day'

Menifee area residents got some helpful health assistance recently when Menifee Dental Group and Orthodontics provided free dental care on a day designated "Smile Generation Serve Day."

Dr. David James, associate dentist at the practice, and staff members worked all day on Aug. 11 to provide pro-bono treatment to community members who would not otherwise have access to dental care. An estimated $15,000 of treatment and services was donated during this community outreach event.

Nearly 200 dental offices in the Smile Generation system around the country participated in this event. Patients at Menifee Dental Group and Orthodontics were selected through local non-profit community service organizations serving people at the poverty level.

The Smile Generation is committed to partnering with its network of dental offices to ensure that community needs are being met and to making a difference in the lives of others.

"Smile Generation Serve Day is a day for giving back to the community," said Dr. James. "Having access to dental care is critical for a person's overall health. When you see the work that you do brings a smile to a patient's face, it is so rewarding and you are reminded how important it is to give back to those in the community that may not have access to dental care."
