The seventh annual Community Christmas Celebration begins a three-day run, Dec. 1, at the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Entitled “Unto Us A Son Is Given,” the event includes two nightly musical presentations with video support on each of the three evenings. Additionally there will be a “live” Nativity, plus various rooms decorated with miniature Nativity scenes on loan from individuals throughout the community.

The performance schedule features youth choirs only on Thursday, Dec. 1 with programs at 7 and 8 p.m; on Friday, a special Spanish choir will perform at 7 p.m. followed by a second in English at 8 p.m.; and on Saturday evening, programs (in English) will commence at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.

This year’s Christmas Celebration, presented in partnership St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. on Saturday. There is no charge and refreshments will be provided.

The Menifee chapel is located at 29725 Bradley Road (on the corner of Lazy Creek and Bradley, north of Newport Road.)
