We are looking for people interested in becoming a blogger for Menifee 24/7. These are non-paid positions. You would do this just because you like to write, a lot, and because you want to inform the public of something, or provide your insight on what's going on.

You don't have to be anyone special. You just have to like to write, and you have to be able to provide news, opinions, or insight that local residents would find interesting. You could just be a local resident like myself. Or, you could be involved with a local club, or involved with the Cityhood Committee, or on the Menifee MAC, or a School Board Member, or a business owner, or serving on a homeowners association, or someone who has lived here for decades and have seen it all.

As a blogger you will have access to post new articles directly to Menifee 24/7 at any time.

We need people who can contribute something at least weekly, preferably more. But the good news is that doesn't have to be a lot of writing. Just a paragraph will do.

If you're interested, contact me:

  • here is my first and last blog...i really get annoyed at the "not so smart people of menifee" ..every morning antelope and newport road get backed up and you have to sit at 3 stoplights to get through and people block the intersection....this is because everyone is a car length away from the car in front of them..so all we have to do is scoot up as close as you can(and yeah leave a little room just in case they roll back) but come on people..the morning would be so much smoother if you would scoot your car up.

from the guy who motions with his hand to scoot up in the morning getting onto the 215 Northbound

  • Mike needs to get up with a little
more drive time to spare. Who cares
if they scoot up. On Mike does!

  • hey, anonymous - NO! I think more people than just Mike DO care: People who have common sense. Notice anonymous says "who cares if THEY scoot up.." not "WE". Easy for you to criticize when you're probably not even driving in the traffic. I can't believe the self-centered, stupid things people do on the road these days. I have to commute to OC every day and deal with people who think no one cares how slow or erratically they drive. Go to traffic school and learn what this means: "SLOWER TRAFFIC USE TURNOUTS TO ALLOW PASSING." The speed limit on Ortega Hwy is 55mph on either size the construction zone, do it when you can, or get off the road if you're scared, 35mph is unacceptable behavior - USE A TURNOUT! That includes truckers, especially truckers! 55MPH also includes the area between Collier and the 40mph zone before Lakeside. What do you think that long line of cars is behind you - a funeral? Hello? You're going to slow!! Yes everyone is just to nice to lay on the horn because they figure you're just gonna go slower then because you think you're the center of the universe or something. Anyway, let's be safe out there. Thanks for the opportunity to rant. I feel better now.

  • Steve, I commend you for the great site that you provide our community with, Thanks.

Also, I was wondering if you had thought about posting a breakdown of potential city council members for our future city? It be nice to have a quick bio on them and some bullet points on their stance. This would help to educate our residents into making a smart decision when the time comes.

Also, have you thought about posting a mock vote?
